Cookie Policy

This page describes the cookies and related browser storage SocialCRM uses on its public site and authenticated application surfaces.

Last updated: March 12, 2026

Current implementation

SocialCRM currently uses first-party consent cookies, authentication/session cookies when you sign in, an optional language-preference cookie, and Google Analytics cookies only if analytics consent is granted and a Google Analytics ID is configured.

Overview

Cookies are small pieces of data stored by your browser. SocialCRM also uses related browser storage, such as localStorage, for some interface preferences and temporary client-side state.

Our consent banner and settings panel are designed to keep non-essential categories off by default until you make a choice.

Cookie categories in use

CategoryExamplesWhy it exists
Essentialgdpr-consent, gdpr-preferences, sign-in session cookiesStores your consent choice and keeps authenticated sessions working when you sign in through NextAuth.
Preferencespreferred-languageRemembers a language-selection choice when that feature is used on the public site.
AnalyticsGoogle Analytics cookies such as _ga and related GA4 identifiersLoaded only after analytics consent and only when the site has a valid Google Analytics configuration.
MarketingNo dedicated marketing cookie is wired into the public app code todayThe preference center includes a marketing category for forward compatibility, but this codebase does not currently attach a standalone advertising script to that setting.

Authentication cookie names can vary by environment and browser security settings. For example, signed-in sessions may use names such as next-auth.session-token or a secure equivalent.

Other browser storage

Some interface behavior in the product uses browser storage that is not a cookie. Common examples include dismissed announcements, onboarding progress, saved UI state, and other client-side preferences.

Those items stay on your device until they expire in code, you clear them in the app, or you clear your browser storage.

Managing your preferences

You can update your consent choices below. You can also clear cookies or block them in your browser settings, although blocking essential cookies may affect sign-in and site behavior.
